Welcome to PCEA Kikuyu High School

PCEA Kikuyu High School is a public boys' boarding secondary school sponsored by PCEA and governed by the Ministry of Education.


The school currently operates under:

  • Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) – Senior School (Grade 10)
  • 8-4-4 Curriculum – Form 3 and Form 4 (phase-out cohort)

All admissions are conducted in line with the Basic Education Act and national education policies.

1. Grade 10 Admission (CBC – Senior School)

Admission to Grade 10 is conducted through the Ministry of Education placement system under the CBC transition framework.

Eligibility
  • Completion of Junior School (Grade 9)
  • Placement by the Ministry of Education into Senior School
  • Selection based on learner pathways and school capacity
Pathways Offered

PCEA Kikuyu High School aligns its Senior School programs according to Ministry guidelines (Academic pathway and related subject combinations as approved).

  • Birth Certificate (Original & Copy)
  • Parent/Guardian ID Copy
  • Completed School Admission Forms
  • Approved school fees payment

2. Form 3 & Form 4 Admission (8-4-4 System – Phase Out)

The school continues to host Form 3 and Form 4 students under the 8-4-4 curriculum until full transition to CBC.

  • Only transfer cases are considered
  • Subject to availability of space
  • Must present academic and discipline clearance

Transfers are rarely allowed unless under special approval by education authorities

3. Transfer Admissions (All Levels)

Transfer applications must include:

  • Transfer Letter from previous school
  • Latest Academic Reports
  • Discipline Clearance Letter
  • Parent/Guardian formal request
  • Approval from Sub-County Education Office

Note: Admission is subject to space availability and school regulations.

4. Boarding Requirement

PCEA Kikuyu High School is a boys' boarding institution.

All admitted students must:

  • Adhere strictly to school rules and discipline code
  • Maintain high moral standards
  • Participate fully in academic and co-curricular activities
  • Respect the Christian values upheld by the school sponsor

5. Fees & Financial Obligations

School fees are charged according to Ministry of Education guidelines.

Parents/Guardians are encouraged to:

All new students (Grade 10 and transfer students) undergo orientation to:
